This past week we were blessed to spend the week at The Fours Seasons Orlando. Talk about an amazing experience.... The hotel is relatively new (5 months) and is the first luxury hotel located within the gates of the Walt Disney World Resort. The Kids program at the resort was the best we had ever seen... from design to service, nothing was forgotten. It was set up perfectly for families to enjoy the resort no matter the age of the child. Their "Kids for All Seasons" room was set up with every toy, puzzle and game a child could ever wish for... They offered activities from tennis lessons, to rock climbing, to scavenger hunts, to art and craft on a daily basis. Every little boy and girls dream....
Then there was the "Hideout". A game room full of X-boxes, Wii's, pinball machines, smart tables, board games, pool, foosball and even its own gelato store! It was in the Hideout that my boys found video game heaven and Isla found... gelato!
A trip to Orlando is not complete without a visit to "Magic Kingdom" (see next post) but at The Four Seasons Orlando they bring Disney to you a few mornings a week.
Who can resist breakfast snuggles with these adorable creatures?
Largely, this was a kids dream vacation but we did manage to sneak away for some adult time. Phil played golf with some old friends and I escaped to luxury in the spa and enjoyed a "sticks and stones" massage..... Pure Bliss!
Spoilt doesn't even begin to describe how we have felt this past week! You know your children have a warped sense of "vacation reality" when Mr. 5 year old says on arrival... "Oh no, there is no TV in the bathroom...... Oh whew! There it is".
Crisis averted... time for some camping me thinks!
No trip to Orlando, Florida is complete unless you visit at least one of the numerous parks in the area. Most families visit a handful, however we chose to visit just one... Magic Kingdom! Its true what the say... it really is "the happiest place on earth".
Everyone who visits has the same common mission... to create family memories & fulfill childhood dreams.
Its a place where you see adults beam with excitement as the magic descends upon them and their families.
Despite Phil and I feeling the place was a little "outdated" with very little sightings of the new Disney characters the kids were mesmerized and that meant it was a perfect day!
We started our day visiting some very special ladies...
And then got straight into some stomping with Mickey...
Then off for some ride excitement we headed...
The meeting of characters and riding the rides continued until 6pm until we all collapsed to watch the famous Parade.
I think you can tell by the looks on these happy, but tired faces that Magic Kingdom fulfilled its promise once again!
hank you for "dreaming big" Walt Disney!
